Brazil Country Report
As a contribution to the UNEP Inquiry the Brazilian Bankers Federation FEBRABAN established a partnership with the Center for Sustainability Studies at Getulio Vargas Foundation (GVCes) to develop three studies on the practice and potential for green finance in Brazil.
- The first looks at the legislation, regulation, and public policies aimed at socio-environmental themes related to the financial sector.
- The second study provides an initial estimate of capital allocation to the green economy, and the volume of financial assets subjected to scrutiny of socio-environmental risks
- The third study looks at the transition to a greener economy in two key sectors: renewable energy and agriculture.
(The individual reports are also available in Portuguese from FEBRABAN)
