Sao Paulo Seminar : The Financial System, the Green Economy and Climate Change

On September 21st 2015 the Inquiry hosted an international seminar with the Federação Brasileira das Associações de Bancos (FEBRABAN), and the Center for Studies in Sustainability of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (GVces).

The meeting was opened by Murilo Portugal, President, FEBRABAN, Achim Steiner, Executive Director of UNEP and Alexandre Tombini, President and closed by Izabella Teixeira, Minister of Environment of Brazil and Joaquim Levy, Brazilian Finance Minister.

Areas of discussion included prudential regulation and the green economy, how different countries are incorporating a systemic view on a sustainable financial system, private funding and the green economy and the role of the private sector in the climate negotiations.
